The Bengaluru electric vehicle manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive has announced its expansion plans and the introduction of new products to strengthen its foothold in the electric two-wheeler space.
Expansion Plans:
The company plans to be pan-India by March 2025 and aims to make around a thousand consumption units a month with revenue within the next six to eight months from this point. Thus far operational in six cities- Pune, Kochi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Vizag, and Bengaluru - the company has plans to take that number to 12 by December 2024, targeting 30 cities, with major markets such as Delhi, by March 2025.
Product Launches:
On March 5, 2025, Ultraviolette revealed two new electric two-wheelers:
- Tesseract: The first electric scooter from the company sells exclusively at a pretty good price of ₹1.2 lakh for 10,000 units and shall thereafter cost ₹1.45 lakh.
- Shockwave: A lightweight electric motorcycle available for a special introductory price of ₹1,49,999 for the first 1,000 units, after which it will be priced at ₹1.75 lakh.
Bookings are open on both models, and the deliveries of both vehicles are expected to start in Q1 of 2026.
Future Products :
Ultraviolette has plans to come up with 10 types of electric two-wheelers over a three-year time span with multiple segments focused on scooters, lightweight motorcycles, long-range cruisers, and multi-terrain bikes:
- X Series: Three models with emphasis on multi-terrain capabilities.
- B Series: Two models targeted at the long-range cruising segment.
This sort of diversification is aimed at pleasing much larger ranges of customer tastes and riding needs.
Ultraviolette today launched the Tesseract at an introductory price of Rs 1.20 lakh* (ex showroom), for the first 10,000 vehicles.

This International Expansion:
Ultraviolette has begun its progress in international expansion with the launch of Kathmandu, Nepal's very first experience center, while sourcing new distributors in Turkey, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The company aims for its formal international expansion to start in November 2024, with these markets forecast to be fully operational in 2025.
The strategic plan justifies Ultraviolette's streak of innovations and its desire to create a big debacle in the domestic and international electric mobility markets.
