This week several notable films and series have been released on various OTT platforms in India. Here's a curated list of today's top releases:

Daaku Maharaaj
Starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, this action-drama follows a fearless thief navigating challenges to establish his own path while confronting formidable adversaries. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the film also features Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, and Urvashi Rautela. Initially released in theaters on January 12, 2025, it is now streaming on Netflix in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. 

Crime Beat
This ZEE5 original series stars Saqib Saleem, Saba Azad, Rahul Bhat, Sai Tamhankar, Danish Hussain, and Rajesh Tailang. The narrative centers on Abhishek, a small-town crime journalist whose routine life takes a dramatic turn when he becomes entangled with a fugitive gangster, challenging his aspirations and moral compass. 

Surface – Season 2
Available on Apple TV+, the second season of this psychological thriller continues the story of Sophie, portrayed by Gugu Mbatha-Raw. After a head injury leads to memory loss, Sophie strives to reconstruct her life, all while discerning whom she can truly trust. The cast also includes Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ari Graynor, and François Arnaud. 

Kaushaljis vs Kaushal
Streaming on JioHotstar, this film directed by Seemaa Desai features Ashutosh Rana, Sheeba Chaddha, Pavail Gulati, Isha Talwar, and Brijendra Kala. The plot revolves around 27-year-old Yug Kaushal from Delhi, whose modern lifestyle clashes with his traditional parents from Kannauj. A series of events leads his parents to adopt progressive views, resulting in unexpected and humorous consequences. 

Office
This Tamil comedy series on JioHotstar showcases a woman from a village visiting a Tahsildar's office to obtain a voter ID card. Her refusal to disclose her husband's name, due to traditional beliefs, leads to a series of comedic events as the office staff attempts to uncover the name without her direct input. 

Uncredited: The Story of Passinho
This Netflix documentary delves into the life of a Brazilian street dancer training for a significant dance competition. Through his journey, the film explores the rich cultural backdrop that has nurtured numerous street dancers' talents. 

Pantheon – Season 2
Returning on February 21, this animated sci-fi series continues to follow two troubled teenagers who bond over Uploaded Intelligence, a groundbreaking yet perilous technology. The voice cast includes Katie Chang, Paul Dano, Aaron Eckhart, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Daniel Dae Kim.

Zero Day
This six-episode political thriller marks Robert De Niro's television debut as former U.S. President George Mullen. After a catastrophic cyberattack devastates the nation, Mullen is called back to lead the Zero Day Commission, teaming up with current President Evelyn Mitchell, portrayed by Angela Bassett. The series delves into themes of disinformation, power struggles, and personal sacrifice. Released on February 20, 2025, 'Zero Day' is now streaming on Netflix.
