Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse – First Look Released

Announced for release in theaters on June 4, 2027, is "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse," the final installment of the animated Spider-Verse trilogy, according to Sony Pictures' official announcement. The announcement was made at CinemaCon 2025, where filmmakers previewed exclusive first-look images from the film.

From these images released just now, we see some direction in the film: Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and Miles G. Morales in the alternate universe, aka the Prowler. These visuals suggest that the multiverse tale will continue as introduced in the first two films.

The film is co-directed by Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson, who were part of the crew for the previous films. Shameik Moore will likely reprise his role as Miles Morales, with Hailee Steinfeld again voicing Gwen Stacy. Expect a narrative continuation from the cliffhanger ending of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" as it dives deeper into Miles' challenge across the multiverse.

The release date has been pushed back several times due to strikes across the film industry and challenges related to production. The filmmakers stress that the delays were worth it so that the film could meet the standards of excellence set by its predecessors.
