This date commemorates the birth anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh, India's fifth Prime Minister, renowned for his deep understanding of rural issues and commitment to agricultural reforms. 

Chaudhary Charan Singh, serving as Prime Minister from 1979 to 1980, was instrumental in implementing policies that improved the lives of Indian farmers.
