Realme has unveiled its latest innovation in the smartphone market with the introduction of the Realme 14 Pro series, featuring the world's first cold-sensitive color-changing technology. This groundbreaking feature, developed in collaboration with the renowned Nordic industrial design studio Valeur Designers, allows the Pearl White variant of the phone to change its back cover color from pearl white to vibrant blue when exposed to temperatures below 16°C (61°F). This transformation is achieved through the use of advanced thermochromic pigments that react to temperature fluctuations, reversing as temperatures rise.
The Realme 14 Pro series is not only about aesthetic innovation but also boasts impressive durability. The devices come with IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, ensuring resistance against dust and water, including high-pressure water jets and submersion up to 1.5 meters for an hour. Additionally, the series has received TÜV Rheinland certification, providing users with confidence against accidental drops and splashes.
In terms of display, the Realme 14 Pro+ 5G features a quad-curved AMOLED screen with a 93.8% screen-to-body ratio, achieved through 1.6mm slim bezels. This design offers an immersive viewing experience and enhances edge swiping for intuitive navigation. The device maintains a slim profile with an overall thickness of only 8mm.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the "Ocean Oculus" triple-camera system on the Realme 14 Pro+ 5G, which includes the industry-first "MagicGlow" Triple Flash. This innovative flash technology automatically restores natural skin tones in low-light conditions, ensuring vibrant and true-to-life night portraits.
Under the hood, the Realme 14 Pro+ 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, while the Realme 14 Pro 5G is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. Both models feature large 6,000mAh batteries and support 80W charging, providing users with extended usage and quick recharge times. The Realme 14 Pro series is available in India, with prices starting at ₹22,999 (approximately $265).
