A.R. Rahman Hospitalized for Dehydration, Now Stable and Recovering
A.R. Rahman was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai due to dehydration. After routine tests, he was discharged and is now recovering at home.

On March 16, 2025, immediate admission into Apollo Hospital, Chennai was given to well-known music composer A.R. Rahman after suffering from dehydration and related discomfort. His son, A.R. Ameen, reported that Rahman was weak due to dehydration, and hence they decided to go to a hospital.
After checking Rahman's ECG and echocardiogram in routine tests, everything was found to be in order, and Rahman was discharged and was resting at home.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin made an inquiry to the hospital to check on the health conditions of Rahman, who was informed that Rahman was in stable condition
It was conveyed by Rahman's family that they were thankful for all the support and good wishes during this time.
