On February 11, 2025, the Maharashtra Cyber Department filed a First Information Report (FIR) against approximately 30 individuals associated with the YouTube show "India's Got Latent," including Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and Apoorva Mukhija. The FIR was registered following public outrage over Allahbadia's inappropriate remarks during an episode. The department has invoked relevant sections of the Information Technology Act and is advocating for the removal of all episodes of the show from online platforms.

In response to the controversy, Allahbadia issued a public apology, acknowledging his lapse in judgment and stating that his comment was both inappropriate and unfunny. He emphasized that comedy isn't his forte and expressed his commitment to using his platform more responsibly in the future.

This incident has sparked a broader discussion about the ethical responsibilities of digital content creators and the boundaries of humor in the quest for virality. It underscores the need for creators to be mindful of their content's impact, especially considering the diverse age groups that consume online media.
