The Job Mela in Ananthapur took place on December 13-14, 2024, organized by the Directorate of Employment and Training, Andhra Pradesh, to provide employment opportunities for unemployed youth. The event was attended by Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav and Kalyandurg MLA Amilineni Surendra Babu as chief guests. The venue was Uravakonda High School in the Uravakonda town of Ananthapur. It is said that more than 5000 unemployed youngsters and housemaids appeared for the interviews over the two days.

Several companies participated, offering roles across diverse sectors of retail, IT, and manufacturing such as MedPlus, Revuteck, Zomato, Swiggy, SBI, Joyalukkas, Paytm, KS Bakers, Google Pay, Just Dail & Apollo Pharmacy are some of the major companies participated in Job Mela.

Positions like cashiers, sales executives, machine operators, and trainees were available for candidates ranging from 10th pass, intermediate (12th), diploma holders, graduates, and ITI-certified applicants. Salaries varied by role, with packages ranging between ₹13,000 to ₹21,000 per month.

In particular, Revuteck has selected candidates for various positions named as Software Developer, Digital Marketer, Maths Trainer, etc. and selected candidates has been given offer letters by the Chief Guests.


During the event, Payyavula Keshav emphasized the importance of skilling programs and employment drives in Rayalaseema, particularly in Ananthapur, to uplift the region's economic standards. He also discussed the state's commitment to supporting job creation and industry growth in collaboration with both public and private entities.

The participation of Amilineni Surendra Babu brought attention to the Kalyandurg constituency, where similar employment initiatives are being planned to enhance opportunities for the local population.

Employers included both local and national companies, providing opportunities to individuals aged 18-35 years. These events aim to bridge the gap between job seekers and industries while supporting state initiatives to reduce unemployment.
