As Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed, Russian President Vladimir Putin is heading to India soon. Preparations are ongoing for the visit, although no exact dates have been announced yet, said Lavrov.
The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, extended an invitation to Russia during a visit to Moscow last year. He explained the exchange of high-level visits by pointing out that the first foreign visit of Modi after being re-elected was to Russia, and now it is to India that Russia's visit is due.
